Product Idea Submission Policy

We Love New Ideas!

Thank you for your interest in sharing product ideas with Sourhouse! We're always excited to hear what our community of bakers are thinking. Your creativity and feedback help inspire us every day.

Before you submit your idea, please take a moment to read through our submission policy. We know legal stuff can be boring, but this helps us keep the process fair and transparent for everyone.

Our Unsolicited Idea Policy

***Here's the Important Part***

We truly appreciate your enthusiasm, but we want to be upfront with you: we have a policy of not accepting unsolicited product ideas, suggestions, or materials.

Here's why:

  • We have our own teams working on product development and innovation
  • We may already be working on similar ideas independently
  • To protect both you and us, we can't enter into confidentiality agreements for unsolicited submissions
  • We want to avoid any future misunderstandings about where ideas came from

What This Means

By submitting any idea, suggestion, concept, or material to us through any channel (email, social media, our website, in person, or otherwise), you agree that:

1. Your submission is voluntary - You're sending this on your own initiative, without any request from us

2. No confidential relationship exists - Your submission doesn't create any confidential, fiduciary, or other special relationship between us

3. We have no obligation to you - We're not obligated to:

  • Review your submission
  • Keep your submission confidential
  • Return your materials
  • Compensate you in any way
  • Respond to your submission

4. You're giving us broad rights - You grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, modify, reproduce, and distribute your submission in any way we choose, with no compensation to you

5. We may already be working on it - We might already have similar ideas in development, or might develop them independently in the future

6. No payment is expected or will be made - You will not receive any compensation, credit, or payment of any kind for your submission

7. You own what you submit - You confirm that you own the rights to whatever you're submitting, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights

How to Share Feedback & Insights Instead

We still want to hear from you! Here are better ways to share your thoughts:

  • General Feedback: Share your experience with our existing products through our customer feedback channels
  • Share Your Baking Challenges: Many of our product ideas come from the challenges bakers face everyday in the kitchen. If you have an annoying baking problem, share your story with us.
  • Feature Requests: Let us know what would improve your experience with products we already offer
  • Customer Support: Report bugs, issues, or problems you encounter
  • Join Our Research Community - We periodically invite bakers to give us confidential feedback on new products and ideas. If you would be interested in potentially participating, send us a note.

These types of communications help us improve what we do without creating legal complications.

Questions?

We know this policy might seem formal, but it's designed to protect both of us and keep things clear and fair. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us at hello@sourhouse.co.

Agreement

If you choose to submit a product idea to us despite this policy, you acknowledge that you've read, understood, and agree to all the terms above.
